About The Write Occasion Calligraphy

Hi there! I am a calligrapher and designer located in North Carolina. I am obsessed with all things calligraphy and illustration. I absolutely love my job and my fabulous commute of a single flight of stairs to my little home office.  

I split my work time between the wedding and event world and fussing with my ever-evolving retail line. I have spent a lot of hours with brides and moms of brides. I have kept to some serious deadlines and most times I’ve managed to keep wedding chaos at bay. I love the creativity that the retail world offers but I’ve quickly learned that it’s very difficult to figure out what customers want. Most of my “best ideas” have actually been huge failures. The true winners are typically the ideas shared by my awesome retail partners.

I share my little universe with my husband and our two goofy yellow labs. I’m a proud mom to three awesome grown girls, whom I relentlessly obsess over and give unsolicited advice to almost daily. And, by the way, my actual handwriting is terrible.
