Shannon Newlin is an illustrator and painter who captures nature through her own modern interpretation and aesthetic. She describes herself as an "impulse painter" due to the fact that her work is an immediate response to what is inspiring her at that moment. This way of working allows her the freedom to use different mediums and subject matter while creating unique and fresh collections throughout the year.
Newlin has also had a successful career as an art director and product developer in both New York City and Los Angeles, but now fully devotes her creative energies to painting full time from her studio in Charlotte, NC. Some of her many wonderful clients have included Disney, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, and FreeSpirit fabrics. She is also an active participant in several juried art & craft shows where she enjoys meeting customers and fellow artists.
