EDIA is a niche map publishing company focusing on regional foods and local heritage. Amanda Fisher, the founder of EDIA, grew up in Mt. Pleasant, NC, and studied English and Studio Arts at UNC Chapel Hill.
Using a modern approach in a nostalgic map format, their signature data-packed infographics are easy to read at a glance, giving a depth of information about each stop. Beyond providing just routes, they use the map margins to dig deep into the science, culture and history of the subject matter, offering breadth more akin to a book. Their dashboard guides give both travelers and locals access to the back door of a region, shifting perspective on the once ordinary so “Every Day is an Adventure” (EDIA).
